FAQ

What happens when I contact you?

When you contact a therapist, you may have questions you wish to ask, or perhaps as you talk it becomes clear whether you would like to meet in person. The therapist may ask you to briefly outline your reasons for considering therapy at this time, to see whether their particular approach could be helpful to you.

How quickly can I be seen?

The intention is to offer a free introductory meeting within seven days.

What happens if I need to cancel a session?

We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will need to be paid for at the full rate, unless you are too ill to attend. It may be possible to re-arrange a session for another day/ time in the same week.

Confidentiality?

Sessions are bound by strict professional (UKCP) guidelines on confidentiality.

Ethics?

All Core Process Psychotherapists follow the Code of Ethics of the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists, a copy of which is available on request. All Core Process Psychotherapists attend professional supervision.
